Maghull and District Lions Club was formed initially as a branch of Ormskirk and Maghull Lions Club. Derek Murphy, our current secretary was a founding member.

Steve Little was the first president in 2016. The club received its charter in 2017 giving the club its own independence from Ormskirk. We are part of Lions International which covers almost all of the world and is the world's largest service organisation. As a fairly new club we are constantly looking for new members; we are looking for people who can give a little bit of time and effort each month in return you will get a lot of fun and banter while at the same time helping others. Lions clubs like ours are free from politics and religion and we welcome men and women for any faith or political persuasion.
